The Dehler 42 is a really, well-thought-out modern cruiser racer. Her down below layout is perfect for most families with 3 cabins, separate shower area, generous main salon and a TV cleverly hidden away on a lift. The large cockpit has good-sized fixed cockpit table set up to be easily taken out with custom mounts built into the floor. The large swim platform is the perfect spot to enjoy the water or can be removed for a lighter and more aggressive open transom look.

Pauger Carbon was approached by an Australian Dehler42C team to prepare the complete carbon package, which includes:

  • High-strength carbon fiber prepreg weight 89 kg (225 x 125 mm), carbon masthead;
  • Mast full length: 20 463 mm;
  • High-strength regular carbon fiber pre-preg boom (250 x 110 mm) – 5 930 mm length – 21 kg;
  • Pauger – BSI/Blue Wave complete Nitronic Rod system including captang, terminals and turnbuckles, V1 size: 8,4mm;
  • Joint mast system
  • Reckmann-Holmatro external Hydraulic Mast Jack system
  • Rod forestay (8,4 mm) with BSI turnbuckle

WHY CARBON FIBER?

Upgrading your mast from aluminium to carbon is a huge performance gain. Weight saving will be ~45-35%.
However, you can go further…
Choose high-modulus carbon fiber! You can trim an additional ~10-15% weight from the standard carbon mast weight. Plus smaller mast section.
Choose carbon standing rigging! ~75% weight saving from the Nitronic50 rod cable weight
Choose a carbon boom! ~35% weight saving from the aluminium boom weight
Choose the carbon boom vang! ~50% weight saving from the aluminium vang weight
